Following the press release of 22 June 2021 relating to the proposed merger of RTL Nederland and Talpa Network assets, the works councils of RTL Nederland and Talpa Network issued their favourable opinions on the proposed merger.
RTL Group and Talpa Network thus today announced the signing of agreements to merge their broadcasting and other media businesses in the Netherlands.
The completion of the transaction remains subject to approval from the competent authorities and is expected to close in the first half of 2022.
